An artificial shrimp lure is a staple in any serious inshore angler's tackle bag. Of course, not all shrimp are created equal...
Our journey started many years ago with D.O.A shrimp, then we moved to Berkley GULP shrimp, then a few other shrimp lures with varied results.
But all of that changed when our Insider Club member Marcos from Brazil gave us some of his Brazilian shrimp to fish with.
We were blown away with the results.
So listen in as we share more about this versatile artificial shrimp lure.
Enjoy!
Satan loves disharmony, arguments, bullying, and anger. So you can only imagine that Satan must be smiling ear to ear with everything going on in our society.
In this episode I share a true story of a family who turned a single social media post into one that split their family apart and will most likely never be the same (along with what we can all learn from it).
If you've ever looked at someone different because of their viewpoints (which we all have), then you're going to love this hard-hitting episode.
You might not know this, but all of the Salt Strong fishing coaches also love catching largemouth bass. In fact, each of us has used some of our saltwater lures to catch some nice bass this year.
The best news is that you don't need to go out and buy all new rods, reels, line, and lures to catch bass.
In fact, some of the saltwater lures you probably already own can out-perform many of the bass lures of today.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy this fun discussion on the best lures for catching ditch pickles...
If you want some really cool shortcuts to finding redfish honey holes, then use these 9 animals/creatures that we share in this episode to show you the way.
A couple animals in particular have been 100% spot on for catching fish everytime we've seen them on or near the shoreline.
The best news is that this can be used for shore anglers (wading), kayak, or boats.
Enjoy and tight lines!
Let's face it, when we think we can't do something, we're really just AFRAID.
It's the FEAR of failure.
The FEAR of looking dumb in front of friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors.
The FEAR of the unknown.
So most of us (including yours truly) deny ourselves the ability to grow by avoiding some challenges altogether and simply sticking with the "easy way."
Well, I'm here to share some true stories of how I let fear get in my way along with a simple two-step process I've been using to overcome it.
The best news...
You can use this to overcome and handle any challenge in your life!
Enjoy.
In this bridge fishing episode, we share some of our best tactics to get more tight lines when fishing under (or near) a bridge.
One of the biggest discoveries came from a recent underwater dive near a popular bridge.
The best news is that these tactics work regardless if you fish from a bridge or from a boat (while fishing a bridge).
Tight lines and enjoy.
In this episode, environmental scientist Lindsay Cross joins me to share some of the water history of Tampa Bay, how they turned their horrendous water quality issues around, and what we can learn from it today.
She also shares her thoughts on what is causing these severe ride tide, who's to blame, and how we can fix it going forward.

Did you know that a Democratic president paid for advertisements to protect the Bible, to instill religious freedom, and to bring awareness to Jesus? Yep. And it wasn't that long ago.
The result of putting God first was the most unified America in many years.
We can learn a lot from this as a country...
Enjoy.
It's late summer which can sometimes be tough for catching redfish (especially if you need a multi-spotted redfish to win a redfish spots tournament).
So listen in as our team shares some of their best summer redfish tips.
Tight lines!
Salt Strong fishing coach Wyatt Parcell is on a family vacation in a new state and had just a short amount of time to get his family on redfish. To make matters worse, he didn't have a boat or kayak. Wade fishing was his only option.
So in this podcast, he shares exactly what he did to pre-trip plan, what types of spots worked best, which lures he used, and some other cool tricks to save time finding the fish.
Enjoy as this is a great one!
Fatherlessness is one of the biggest issues we face as a country. Over 24,000,000 kids are being raised in single parent homes and most of these have no father figure.
That means we'll have an entire generation of young men who had to figure out life without a dad, a mentor, and family unit.
But the good news is that groups like Truth in Nature are boldly stepping up to make a huge impact with these young men.
Listen in as we share what they are doing in our communities to help out with the fatherless.
This episode, we headed up north to Carrabelle, Florida to fish a completely new area with a fishing guide (Capt. Hollywood) who lives in the Keys full time and happened to be visiting as well.
So with all of us new to the area, we had to figure out how to quickly get on some fish as we only had 2 trips to figure it all out and get some great footage.
Listen in as we get Wyatt hooked up with a big bull shark and catch some snapper and grouper along the way.
Tight lines and enjoy!
The fishing industry's massive convention called ICAST was the past week and we had quite a few team members make the week-long event. Listen in as we discuss what new tackle we saw, what we liked, what we weren't big fans of, and even some shocking products.
We'll also discuss many of the category winners along with a big name in the industry that didn't win anything.
Enjoy.
True story: a man traveling in a small airplane was told they were going to make an abrupt landing as the plane had lost numerous functions, making it impossible to continue the flight.
He immediately started writing down everything he would do if God let him live.
All in all, he wrote down 101 different things before the crash landing.
Today, he has accomplished over 80 of those things.
What would you do if God gave you a second chance in life?
How would you structure your day and your life?
